I recommend Next Gen and the Cargo Plus

I ordered the CARGO PLUS from Next Gen e-Rides in QLD as COVID-19 lockdowns dragged on in Victoria. The bike arrived within days, and the small amount of assembling required was made really easy but the tools provided by Regan, who has been really informative and supportive through out the whole purchase experience. The Bike has been an incredible purchase, we (my daughter and I) love it!!! It so easy to use, I've quickly adapted to size and length of the bike. It my first E-bike and are in love!!! Its a dream to shift into different gears, with different levels of power to support and ease riding up hills.

The bike has already given me new ways of commuting to and from childcare and hopefully to the office one day soon. I definitely recommend this bike and purchasing goods from Next Gen!

More eco friendly option for short travel

We purchased the Cargo Plus e-bike for Christmas this year as we wanted a more ecological option for short journeys, like a quick trip to the shops or the school run. We chose the Cargo Plus eBike because of the room for both of our children and a basket at the front for school bags, etc. We have been delighted with our purchase; the bike is solid, robust and safe, as well as having lots of space for everyone and everything. It feels so much better than getting in the car all the time. We even took it on our family holiday to Rottnest Island this year and it was great for getting around the island because of the excellent battery life and powerful motor. Regan at Next Gen e-Rides has been extremely helpful and supportive both before and after our purchase and we would highly commend his customer service and the company in general. You are in safe hands here.

Totally convinced

I love my new bike!! I was a bit unsure about upgrading initially, but now I’m totally convinced. It’s stylish, much more powerful than my old bike (which makes transporting the kids a breeze) and very comfortable. It also has loads of storage. All of this means I use it much more often. I’ve also had loads of comments and interest in my new bike, particularly from other parents at my daughters school.

It is very important that a cargo bike has enough power to get you up those steep hills, especially when there is precious cargo on the back. We are thrilled that you are convinced of your purchase and that others are also loving your new ride. It proves style doesn't need to be compromised to get value for money!

Can I unlock the speed to make it go faster?

No, this is not possible with the Max Cargo. The motor is only designed to go a max speed of 32km/h only. If you exceed this max speed you will void your warranty

Can I add a throttle assist to the Max Cargo?

The Max Cargo is fitted with a half-twist throttle.

Do I need a license or registration to ride the Max Cargo?

In general, you do not require a licence or registration to ride an ebike. Note however state and territory laws to vary. What you do need to adhere to are the general road rules such as wearing a helmet, not riding under the influence and not operating an ebike with a throttle on the road. There are also some laws regarding riding on the footpaths that need to be understood in different states and territories.

Are e-bikes legal to ride on the road?

Australian laws are derived from European standards EN15194 and do vary between states. The basic rules are:

  • The motor must not exceed 250W (the exception is NSW which allows 500W)
  • Must require pedalling for motor to operate (known as pedalac)
  • Must not be operated purely by throttle
  • The motor must not exceed 25km/h
  • If a throttle is used it must cut off at 6km/h and be installed on an bike with a motor no more than 200W

Check your local authority to understand regulations in your area as they can vary.

How much assembly is required on the Max Cargo?

Very little assembly is required. The Max Cargo is around 85% assembled out the box. You will need to install the handlebar stem, the front wheel, seat post, pedals and footrests. Make sure you fully charge the battery (which is the seat stem) before riding. How long does delivery take?

We ship out stock from Melbourne the next day after the order is placed. Fore most metro cities in Australia on the east coast it takes 3-5 days for the ebike to be delivered. For more remote locations that are further from Brisbane or in smaller towns allow 7-10 working days. We cannot control the speed of freight but do provide updates and tracking so you know where the goods are during the delivery time period.

Where can I view or test ride the Max Cargo?

The Max Cargo is distributed throughout Australia by Eunorau based out of Melbourne. Next Gen eRides is a reseller for Queensland and test riding is done from Brisbane. For any areas without a reseller nearby we offer a 30 day money back guarantee and free freight. Note you will have to arrange freight back so if unsure keep all the packaging for an easy return.

Is the Max Cargo waterproof?

The Max Cargo is water resistant not waterproof, which means they are able to resist the penetration of water to some degree but not entirely. Riding in the rain and washing your bike won't cause any damage but the electronic components are not recommended to be exposed to water for long periods of time. We do however advise storing the bike indoors where possible. This not only extends the life of your product but also reducing the likelihood of theft. + Can I modify the bike and how will that affect my warr

Can I modify the bike and how will that affect my warranty?

Some modifications are ok on your ebike and will not affect your warranty. You can for example change the tyres. Note that the standard tyres are designed for this style ebike. You will be limited to 24 inch tyres with only a small margin for the tyre width. If unsure refer to our warranty policy, or call us first before making modifications.

How long is the warranty period?

The standard warranty is 12 months, however, if you register the bike on Eunorau’s website you can extend the standard warranty to 2 years, see registration link: https://au.eunorau-ebike.com/pages/product-registration. Should you encounter some production related manufacturer’s defect during this period, we will take care of it according to our warranty.
