The Brekr F250 is a Dutch, award winning designed fat tyre ebike that is currently taking Europe by storm. Unlike other fat tyre ebikes this has been designed to overcome many of the shortfalls of this style ebike.

The saddle has an adjustable height with a range of 10cm from lowest to highest setting. This means the F250 boasts a huge range of rider heights. It also comes with custom 22- inch tyres that provide a much better riding experience due to improved ergonomics. Finally, it has colour panels that can be changed with a minimum of fuss. This means you can change the bike colour depending on your mood or requirements.

It is truly unique bike in its class and is 100% compliant with all EU and Australian road requirements.  Well over a $1000 of accessories are included with this model including: front, rear racks, ABUS security alarm, Tex-Lock frame cable lock, frame panel spares, MIK basket and more.

    Key features

F250 Build to last, built for fun!

    Stylish modern look

Fat bikes are trendy, but the standard 20- inch wheels are too small for the average European. The F250 is the first fat bike with 22 inch wheels, specially developed by Brekr.

Belt drive for quiet, trouble-free ride

Instead of a chain that is greasy, dirty, noisy or rusty, the Brekr F250 has a belt to drive the rear wheel. This means less maintenance and costs compared to a derailleur.

    Bafang hub motor

With built-in, automatically shifting gears you are guaranteed a smooth, effortless ride no matter the terrain.

The engine of the F250 is built into the rear wheel. You can choose from three driving modes, so you always have the wind at your back. The force sensor provides natural support and the built-in gear shifts automatically.

    No suspension?

    No Problem

Some fat bikes have front and rear suspension. This can be useful if you drive off rocks or have chosen another adventurous route. But we estimate that you mainly cycle on normal roads and you can easily absorb the bumps and bumps of those roads with the thick tyres and the comfortable saddle.

Because suspension makes the bike more expensive, we have chosen not to make it standard for the F250. Those savings have been used for things that are certainly useful to you, such as a belt drive, a larger wheel size, built-in gears and a choice of endless colours.

We find suspension as an option interesting and we may add it later as an option that you can order extra.

    Adjustable saddle

    FOR YOUR COMFORT

Yes, finally, a fat bike with a height- adjustable saddle!

You can adjust the saddle to different heights on almost all types of bicycles. Strangely enough, this was not yet possible with fat bikes, apart from a few 'elevators' . The saddle of the F250 can be adjusted to three different heights.

    Customise your colour

    YOUR BREKR, YOUR STYLE

We are all individuals and have our own tastes. Bike colours are no different. With Brekr, you have 11 standard colour choices but we don’t stop there.

The custom aluminium infill panel can be customised to whatever colour you desire. This means you can literally have any colour you want and we can make it happen.

    Connectivity

    ALWAYS BE CONNECTED

The Brekr app gives you information, you can adjust settings and has a track and trace function in case of theft. If your bike starts moving without you, you will receive a notification and with additional insurance, professional bike hunters will track down your bike.

Imagine having that peace of mind when you lock your bike up!

    FAQs

What is the top speed of the F250?

The top speed of the F250 is 25 kilometres per hour, which is in accordance with EU regulations.

Can I unlock the speed to make it go faster?

No, you cant. The max speed is 25km/h

Can I add a throttle assist to the F250 ?

A throttle upgrade is now available via Brekr website.

Do I need a license or registration to ride the F250 ?

In general, you do not require a license or registration to ride an e-bike. Note, however state and territory laws to vary. What you do need to
adhere to are the general road rules such as wearing a helmet, not riding under the influence and not operating an ebike with a throttle on the
road. There are also some laws regarding riding on the footpaths that need to be understood in different states and territories.

Are e-bikes legal to ride on the road?

Australian laws are derived from European standards EN15194 and do vary between states. The basic rules are:

    • The motor must not exceed 250W (the exception is NSW which allows 500W)
    • Must require pedalling for motor to operate (known as pedalac)
    • Must not be operated purely by throttle
    • The motor must not exceed 25km/h
    • If a throttle is used it must cut off at 6km/h and be installed on an bike with a motor no more than 200W (pretty much making all ebikes with a throttle illegal on main roads)

Check your local authority to understand regulations in your area as they can vary.

Can the F250 ride up hills easily?

Yes, the Bafang hub motor helps you get up hills.

How many gears does the F250 have?

The F250 has two built-in gears in the HUB motor and automatically shifts to second gear.

Can I check the battery level of the F250?

Yes, you can check the battery level in two different ways. On the bicycle's display and in the app connected to your bicycle.

     How long does delivery take?

We ship out stock from Sydney and Brisbane the next day after the order is placed. Fore most metro cities in Australia on the east coast it takes 3-5 days for the ebike to be delivered. For more remote locations that are further from Brisbane or in smaller towns allow 7-10 working days. We cannot control the speed of freight but do provide updates and tracking so you know where the goods are during the delivery time period.

Can I still ride the F250 if the battery is empty?

Yes. If the battery is empty, you are no longer supported by the motor, but cycling is always possible.

How many km does the battery last per full charge?

The range depends on several factors such as your driving style, tire pressure, weight, terrain and weather conditions. The exact specifications of the battery are not yet known. We expect the standard battery to have around 540Wh, giving a range of 35 to 60 kilometres. The plus battery will have approximately 720Wh and an expected range between 45 and 75 kilometres under normal use. In ideal conditions and when you use eco mode you can probably achieve 100 to 130 kilometres.

Is there a way to get a stronger battery? If so, what are the additional costs?

Yes, you can choose from two different batteries for the F250. There is the standard 540Wh and 720Wh upgrade option. The extra costs for the upgraded battery is 199 euros (approx. $350AUD).

What is the typical battery life?

In general, the battery can withstand approximately 1000 charging cycles. Depending on use, it lasts 2 to 5 years.

Can I modify the bike and how will that affect my warranty

Some modifications are ok on your ebike and will not affect your warranty. You can for example change the tyres. Note that the standard tyres are designed for this style ebike. You will be limited to 20 inch tyres with only a small margin for the tyre width. If unsure refer to our warranty policy, or call us first before making modifications.

    What engine is used?

We use a completely new Bafang HUB motor with two built-in gears that shifts automatically.

    Is the saddle adjustable?

Yes, this is one of the unique features of the F250. The bicycle has three built-in saddle heights, ranging from 80 to 89 cm.

    Does the F250 have mudguards?

Yes, selling a bicycle without mudguards, lights or a bicycle stand sounds quite strange to us. You will find these necessary functions standard on the F250.

What size are the wheels and what type of tyres does the F250 come with?

The F250 has 22 inch wheels, 4 inches wide. That's 2 inches more than normal fat bikes have. This is a new wheel size developed by Brekr to give the bicycle the right looks, more comfort and better driving characteristics.

Can you install a child seat on the F250?

We cannot give a clear answer to this at the moment, but it is certainly our ambition to develop multiple options. Follow us for F250 accessory updates.

Do the lights still work when the battery is empty?

No, the bicycle lights are powered by the battery and therefore do not work when the battery is empty.

What is the max weight and how tall do you have to be for this bike?

The maximum allowed weight is 160 kilos. The built-in saddle height adjustment and the long saddle ensure that people of different heights(from 160 to 205 centimetres) can ride the bike.
